Hold fast. 11/16/2010
Do not lose heart. Circumstances change. The Lord will bring good out of what is happening to you now, even though it may not appear until you reach heaven. I have arthritis this morning, and I am tired and discouraged. But it is no reason to give up - or begin complaining. Our dreams should revolve around the tomorrow that will be forever. Focus on the hope. Remember: Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14) Focus on what is to come: Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18) Focus not on today, but on eternity.
